Troubleshooting and FAQ
Resolve activation, account, machine, message and permission problems and send support a useful, safe error report.
On this page
Start with the object that stopped: the account, automation, thread or machine. Read its latest reason and timestamp before retrying. An app error, an X refusal and a safety hold need different fixes.
I can sign in but cannot start
If the workspace is waiting for access, use Message us on Telegram on the waiting screen. If you see plan_required, the Clout team must activate the plan. Open Settings → Plan → Talk to us.
billing_hold means the paid period is on hold. workspace_read_only means writes are unavailable. Contact the team to arrange and record the next period.
The current plan_limit message is “You're at your plan's limit: message us to raise it”. Check the relevant usage meter and discuss capacity with the team.
Work is not running
- Check whether the automation is Draft, Scheduled, Paused, Stopped or Finished.
- Check its active days, hours and next scheduled action.
- Check the selected group’s account health and warm-up stage.
- Check Machines for an online runner with available slots.
- Check Runs and queue and Issues for the exact waiting or blocking reason.
A paused workspace, contact rule or action cap can hold an otherwise valid job. Resume only after checking the cause. Raising the configured volume does not override a safety rule.
“Someone else changed this. Reload to see their changes.” means your edit used an old revision. Reload, inspect the new settings and make your change again.
An account needs you
X can require a captcha, email code, phone check or a new session. Choose Open its browser and complete the normal X challenge yourself in Clout Browser. Close the browser and recheck the account or import row.
Keep the runner and Browser on the same machine and OS user. If a session check cannot open the profile, inspect the machine connection and Browser binding before uploading another token.
Do not send tokens, cookies, passwords or challenge codes to support. Provide the account’s app ID or masked handle, the failure time and the support code instead.
A machine is offline or will not restart
“That machine is not connected.” means the gateway cannot use it. Check that the computer is on, has network access and is running its joined runner installation.
“That machine's watchdog is not answering.” means remote restart is unavailable. Start or inspect the installed watchdog locally. A remote restart cannot repair a powered-off computer.
If you moved from the tray to a service, check its OS user and home. A service under a different installation directory does not automatically inherit the joined identity.
Messages or results are missing
A dash means unknown. Check the metric’s source and last read, the Fanvue connection and the account’s health. A missing subscriber count does not establish that no one subscribed.
Inbox history is read in bounded passes. Deep older history, group/media conversations or manually locked encrypted conversations may not be fully available. Check the normal X interface when that context is needed.
Not verified means Hydra X could not prove acceptance. Do not repeat the message or post solely because that label appears. Inspect Activity and X first.
A source keeps nobody
Review the origin and keep filters. The receive DMs filter keeps nobody with Browser Reader accounts because those reads cannot establish DM availability. Remove it or use an available Martera read.
Check provider allowance, key availability, read capacity and source activity. A zero allowance stops provider calls. Low-confidence Jev candidates may be in Discover for review rather than in the kept list.
Contact is refused
“Hydra X will not contact this person.” indicates a contact protection. Check Suppression and the person’s history. “This person may be a minor, so Hydra X will not contact them.” needs an authorised human review; changing the sending account does not clear it.
An opt-out or block should stay effective across your team’s jobs. Do not remove it merely to make a queue drain.
My invitation or link does not work
A team invitation requires the invited verified email. A Telegram-only identity without that email cannot accept it.
Creator portal sign-in links work once for 15 minutes. Resend link invalidates the previous link. Fanvue connection links sent to a Creator work once for seven days. Ask for a fresh link when it has expired.
A button is missing or unavailable
Check your role and assigned Creators. missing_permission means “You do not have permission to do this.” An API key can also be narrower than your own role.
Controls marked Coming soon are unavailable. A retained route may return feature_retired with “This feature is retired until a new version.” That is not a setting you can enable yourself.
Support codes
| Code | Meaning | Next step |
|---|---|---|
API-<code> · <request id> | The server refused or failed a request. | Include the whole code and request ID. |
APP-404 | The page does not exist. | Return to a known screen and include the address in your report. |
APP-CHUNK | An old page file disappeared after an app update. | Reload the page or reopen the app. |
UI-XXXX | A failure inside the app. | Include the route and exact steps that caused it. |
If the app offers Send to support, use the report details to preserve the code. Add what you expected, what happened, the time and app version. Include a cropped screenshot only after checking it for credentials, private messages, personal data and share links.
“The request was blocked for your security. Reload the page and try again.” is a security request failure; reload and repeat the intended action once. Persistent failures need the support code.
FAQ
Does opening the app start my drafts?
No. Automation drafts need review and start. Workflow drafts need publication. Campaign creation prepares drafts. A saved scheduled report sends when its schedule comes round.
Does an automation test send on X?
Test on one account does. Workflow tests send only when Send for real is enabled. Read the test’s selected account and target first.
Can a script send more than the app?
No. API and MCP actions use the member, Creator, account and safety gates. Their request limits are an additional ceiling.
Does a Creator see the account fleet?
Her portal excludes account handles, proxies, costs and team members. Check Preview as and the portal visibility switches before sending her access.
Can I use a displayed number as guaranteed performance?
No. Limits are ceilings, forecasts are estimates and results are observations with source times. Screenshot figures are synthetic examples.
A retired or older link opens
A saved URL can still exist after its feature is retired. Coming-soon screens for the agent, morning brief, chat bot, Feed autopilot, RPA, tracked Traffic, AI content, account buying, mailboxes and the OnlyFans extension do not enable those features.
Use snippets and spintax for message text, Fanvue for the active platform connection, and the documented browser-backed actions. Complete X password, email and two-factor checks manually in Clout Browser.
A missing page or crash screen is different from a permission refusal. Return to Home and reopen the item from its current list. If it still fails, report the page, action, visible error and request ID through talk to us, with no keys, tokens or private conversation text.
